The Director General/Chief Executive of NASENI, Professor Olusegun Adewoye, on the 2nd of July, 2010 visited Lovinghands Daycare, Nursery and Primary school. The visit by the DG was to make a presentation of three (3) sets of Primary Science Kits (PSKs) to the school for enhancing the study of science education.

The NASENI team arrived the school premises around 11.05am and was received by the school’s Head Teacher. The opening prayer was said by one of the Proprietors of the two schools present. Thereafter, the NASENI team was introduced to the staff and pupils of the school.

In his address, the DG advised the pupils to face their studies with vigor. According to him, the future of Nigeria belongs to them if they utilize the opportunities available to them today most especially by acquainting themselves with the use of Primary Science Kits (PSKs) which the Agency has donated to them. Also, he promised that the Agency would train the staff and pupils on the use of the PSKs. By the use of the PSKs, the pupils will be equipped with the necessary skills, knowledge, and expertise that are required for doing laboratory work, performing experiments and providing a platform that will prepare them for future challenges in Science and Technology.

In her response, the proprietress of the school, Mrs. Titilayo Oladunni Ore-Ofe thanked the DG and his team for the visit and the donation of the PSKs. She promised to consolidate on the step the Agency has taken by motivating the staff and pupils of the school in making efficient use of PSKs.
The DG further appreciated the presence of two other proprietors present and promised to donate a set of PSK each to them. He was accompanied by the Director, Technology Business Development Department(TBD, NASENI), Mr. Ifeanyi Obibuzor; the Senior Admin Officer (TBD), Mrs. Blessing Agbor ; Engr. Ajani of the Engineering Infrastructure Department and Mr. Oriade Phillip Akinwumi.

Thereafter, some selected pupils sang a rendition song titled “When the saints go marching in”. Subsequently, a photograph session of the DG and the pupils took place after which the principal on behalf of the school formally presented the DG with a gift. A joint photograph of the NASENI team and the entire management and staff of the school was taken outside the school premises and the NASENI team departed around 12.20pm.
