Solar Panel Manufacturing Plant PDF Print E-mail

NASENI is establishing a 7.5MW solar panel manufacturing plant at Karshi, Abuja through a joint venture project with a foreign partner.

The establishment of the solar cell manufacturing plant in Nigeria will lead to the following applications amongst others: domestic use, street lighting, water pumping for irrigation purposes, power of repeater stations and telecommunication booster station, powering of traffic lights, small scale processing of farm products, and other applications in off-grid areas. The required facilities for this project have been imported and a building / workshop for the operation of the plant is already in place.

Do you Know that:

  • Nigeria receives 5.08 X 10kWH12 of energy per day from the sun with 3-9 Hours of sunshine per day.
  • Electricity can be generated directly from the sun using solar cells
  • Most of the Solar Panels currently in use are imported, hence making solar installation expensive.
  • NASENI is therefore establishing a 7.5MW Solar Panel Production Plant
  • The Plant is located at Karshi, FCT - Abuja (near GSS Karshi)

PROJECT PHASES
